The Global Village Collection

With the Global Village Collection, we simultaneously pay tribute to and update elemental motifs common to many cultures. The simple stripe, the abstracted floral, the coiled basket belong to a shared visual language and have been found in artisanal textiles for thousands of years. Yet the patterns' scale, rhythm and graphic color make this group decidedly modern.

Global Village is woven of 100% Bella Dura® olefin fibers, providing exceptional fade-weather and mildew resistance outside and rugged durability indoors. Each pattern exceeds 50,000 double rubs Wyzenbeek, making it especially suitable for high traffic contract and hospitality areas. And because it's bleach cleanable, the collection is likewise ideal for healthcare, institutional and children's rooms.

Four patterns are included in the Global Village collection: Maya, a robust, tactile boucle weave with silky smooth surface yarns; Piñata Party, a bold multi-color simple stripe in candy colored hues; Margarita, a simple flower with asymmetrical petals seemingly carved from a wood block; and Basket Weaver, a handcrafted look inspired by coiled reeds formed into a basket.

The collection has substantial eco properties as well. The olefin yarns are solution-dyed, eliminating water waste and the fibers can be recycled without harmful effects to the environment. Because of these features, each pattern in the Global Village is MBDC Cradle to Cradle silver certified.
